2020 Raindance Foothills Chardonnay

A bright medium straw hue. Notes of pineapple, toasted brioche, white peach, and minerality. Bright, medium-bodied, and fresh. This chardonnay awakens the palate with bright acidity, tropical citrus flavors, and a ribbon of salinity with a lingering finish.

More about the vineyard: While growing up in Newberg, Foothills Christmas Tree Farm was the place that wine grower, Ken Austin and his family visited each year to get their tree. When Ken and his wife Celia purchased the tree farm, it had gone untouched for many years. Thirty-plus-year-old Christmas trees were cleared to make way for the vineyard, revealing an amazing view! Once the vineyard was planted, Ken & Celia decided to honor that memory and kept the name, Foothills.
